Chef de Cuisine/Partner Chris Kidd is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.  Chris makes house-cured or smoked meats, pasta, stocks, soups, desserts, pickled vegetables, and everything else from scratch daily.  In addition to our regular ala carte menu which changes seasonally, Chris offers a weekly Artisanal Menu to highlight the wonderful products available from our partner farms.  If you are a true foodie…Rustica is for you!

The food, it is all about the food! They care about what they put on each and every plate and you can tell they do. The food is prepared in your sight (which speaks volumes) and is fun to watch. This place cares about the food it is putting out, if you appreciate that, you will love this place. Portion sizes are what they should be, not overly large at the expense of quality. I travel extensively and have not found a better place to eat in much larger markets.

Our beverage program at Rustica is structured to highlight the food.  With many wines by the glass and over 200 wines by the bottle, our wine program is deep with unusual and highly allocated wines.  Our beer selection is founded on Michigan craft beer by the bottle or draft, accompanied by beers from Europe and North America.  Rustica also offers spirits including absinthe, amaro, single malt scotch, single barrel bourbon, sherry, ports, and locally roasted artisan French press coffee.
